OUR MISSION

The Motor City Baseball-Softball Academy has been the leader of youth baseball in the Midwest for over 13 years. We are recognized by USSSA as one of the top 10 programs nationally. We are a high-quality youth program emphasizing advanced skills and technique within a competitive environment. Superior coaching of the fundamentals, multiple practice facilities, and solid parental support are the backbones of this elite program, with the development of players tools being the number one priority. The Motor City Baseball Academy provides an environment for these young men-woman to develop as players, competitors, while enjoying the great game. The teams that make up the Motor City Baseball Academy are highly competitive not only on a local level but also on the regional and national level. The players that make up the Hit Dogs family are required to act like ladies & gentlemen on and off the field, respect the game, and work hard to improve as a player every time they put on the MCBA uniform. Motor City Baseball-Softball Academy formula for success:

  • Training TOOLS of the player is the primary focus, which will help to develop the player for the success of a great team.

  • Provide the very BEST coaching with the knowledge and experience to teach players the right way to play the game.

  • Provide players access ALL YEAR ROUND to the private facility, “The Dog Pound”, to hone their skills.

  • With the above stated principles allow the Motor City Baseball-Softball Academy to be one of the premier youth baseball programs throughout the Midwest and Nationally.

In Loving Memory

Coach John Sniezek loved softball and he loved to coach.  John had been coaching for nine years and had been part of the Motor City Hit Dogs family for three years; coaching two of those years.

He enjoyed coaching these young ladies, but especially his daughter, Hope.  His 14u team had a great season last year.  He coached the girls winning 4 straight games going into championship Sunday undefeated.   He led his team to one championship and two second place finishes throughout the season.

Coach John was a kind, generous, and caring coach and person.  All that knew him, loved talking about the game and life with him.

Our hearts were saddened when Coach John left us suddenly on August 1, 2020.   He will be greatly missed.  Rest now, coach, and keep smiling down upon us all.  Thank you to Hope and the Sniezek family for sharing your dad with all of us.

We dedicate our 2020-2021 season to you, Coach!

TESTIMONIALS

This is the BEST travel baseball program in Michigan, bar none. When you look at their player development, list of alumni, and success both on and off the field, this is a program parents should be looking at. I am very, very impressed with what the Hit Dogs have to offer and have accomplished.
